Q1: Can I use a single W510 camera standalone?
No, the W510 add-on camera absolutely requires the H200 base station. If you only need one camera, we recommend the 2-camera set – it offers better value for money.
Q2: What is the difference between the US and EU versions?
The hardware is identical. The only difference is the power supply: The US version has a permanently integrated plug, while the EU version comes with a separate power supply that is compatible with Euro/UK/AU plugs.
F3: Do I have to pay monthly fees?
No. All recordings are stored locally on the base station – completely free of monthly costs. That is our core promise.
Q4: How far can the camera and base station be from each other?
The theoretical Wi-Fi range is approx. 30–50 meters outdoors, or about 10–20 meters through walls. We recommend placing the base station as centrally as possible between all cameras.
F5: Is the solar panel sufficient for continuous operation?
In sun-drenched regions (at least 4 hours of direct sunlight per day), the solar panel can theoretically power the camera continuously. With less sunlight, occasional Type-C charging may be necessary.
F6: How many cameras can I connect?
One H200 base station supports up to 8 W510 cameras.
F7: How good is the night vision?
The camera offers two modes: infrared night vision (black and white, range approx. 10 meters) and color night vision (with LED light turned on). The ICR filter switches automatically depending on lighting conditions.
F8: Can the camera recognize specific people?
Yes. The camera supports facial recognition (processed directly on the base station) and can distinguish between known and unknown individuals. Smart notifications describe events in natural language – for example, "a person in red clothing is approaching the front door."
F9: How long are the recordings stored?
That depends on the hard drive capacity and recording frequency. The internal 32GB memory is sufficient for approx. 3–7 days of event recordings. With an additional 1TB hard drive, you can store approx. 1–2 months.
F10: Does the camera support Alexa or Google Home?
The current version does not yet support these platforms. However, a subsequent integration via OTA update is planned.
